Painting Series
Title
In 2019 I began curating and creating photo collections. I called them Memory Snapshots. These were personal, and they covered a wide range of moments, places I lived and traveled. They were my memories.
In 2020 I kept making more collections and began a series of paintings inspired by these collected memories.

Process: Memory Snapshot collections
Even more important, I remembered special moments from long ago through this process, forgotten stories that I got to relieved one more time. It felt like a great way to cope with a challenging year.

These paintings seized the soul of the photos, interpretations of what the camera captured. Colors, lines, textures, movement, and composition taken from the still images served as inspiration. Similarly, when we think about memories, we do not remember every detail of them but just what captivated us at a particular moment.
